On testing, please remember when you were first diagnosed. Newly diagnosed diabetics need to test frequently to find out what the food they are eating is doing to their blood sugar levels. This means testing before a meal and two hours after. Testing after three hours is advised if eating food with a heavy fat content is eaten because fat slows down the absorption rate of some foods. One hour testing, looking for spikes in blood sugar can be useful as well.

I test before 1 hour after and 2 hours after some times at 3 hours also, I test at 1 hour to see the peak value which is normally at 1 hour after eating for me.

Oh and welcome to the forum. kingbaby312

A novel way to introduce yourself but hello and welcome anyway..
Sounds like you don't need the usual introductory message so I won't tag in daisy1.

Keeping a diary of results and what you eat is key too, as you start to spot patterns easily when you do this and the act of writing down what you eat, helps when you later learn carb counting etc, as you are already part way to doing it by monitoring what you are eating. Likewise, recording when hypos happen and possible causes really can help too.
