Is there anybody that you can contact today about your bi-polar? You really need to speak to someone who understands you and your bi-polar...
Sadly there are times that diet alone can't sort out and maintain blood glucose levels, and some form of medical treatment needs to be added... I know you fear the use of insulin, but even at this stage there is still a possibilty of being able to use oral medication... You have to speak to your doctor about this as any treatment has to be decided between you and them to be implemented...
If there opinion is the best way forward at this moment in time, is implementing insulin, this will be based on your medical history with medical presentation now, they will be aware that of the interaction that your bi-polar has in all this, and having excessivly high blood glucose, not only puts the phsyical body at harm, but also has an impact on the diabetics mental health as well..
As you are a T2, it may well be that yep you might have to use insulin to bring those BG's down into a safe region, but it doesn't necessary mean that you have to inject for the rest of your life, once everything under control, so far you've really done well on your weight lose if you can continual to slowly lose your weight then it possible that eventually you can start looking into coming off the insulin and may be able to use oral medication to maintain your BG's... Time well tell on this as good indicator, is as you lose the weight it take less and less insulin to maintain the control..
You need to note down, all your fears surrounding the use/implecation of using insulin, and take this with you when you see your doctor, as then they will know where you coming from and more able to work out your best way forward and ensure that they help and support is there for you...
