Had my first hospital diabetic appointment yesterday. My diabetes isn't well controlled. I currently take 1000mg metformin Sr am n pm. Whenever my diabetic nurse adds another tablet I start to hypo, readings off 1.4 or lower. Even with tablets that you aren't supposed to hypo on. Sometimes I hypo on just metformin. Consultant today says I'm just unlucky that I do this and is looking at possible connections in bloods etc to find reasons y.

He is referring me now for glp-1 injections as he hoping this will suppress my appetite n aid my weight loss n help to stabilise my diabetes.

Anyone on these injections and how do you find them? He's also prescribed me dapagliflizin which is drug to stop you absorbing sugar from your food, anyone taking these? And how do you find them?
Just hope something starts to work for me.

@suzy2002 I'm sure someone will come along and advise you about hypo prone meds.
Do you hypo without meds, or did you before going on meds?
I'm on canagliflozin 100mg which gives me thrush as a side affect. It reduces my heavy need for insulin injections. Hence stops weight aid.
I hope you receive the right help soon.
