Be cautious, even with drinks that are scientifically formulated for people with diabetes... 5.5 to 10.9 mmol spike...
I believe there's better ways to get nutrition...

It is often recommended by hospitals...we fed my dad loads of this stuff towards the end of his journey...

More evidence that low GI and "slow release carbohydrates" are BS for many Type 2s. I tried this stuff a few years back - ended up taking the can back to the pharmacy and complained about the BG spikes it gave me. Suitable for diabetics - I don't think so!

Glucerna Nutrition says Total Carbs 16gms, and Added Sugar 4gms, so 20gms in total. Some might have a higher spike, even the 14gms of carb in a slice of toast will make my BG spike more than that.
 
The graphic in post#5. Suggests it is 27g of carbohydrate per serving
