GlucoBerry

Hi @amelisa

Glucoberry has been mentioned a few times on here, but only by spammers... (There is a berry gluco drink which is used to treat hypoglycemia/low blood sugar, but I suspect you don't mean that.)

I've googled it quite heavily and the only information I can find is from sites linked to selling the product.

As they are a "natural product" they don't need medical trials for approval.

Glucoberry claims to remove a sticky residue preventing your kidneys from clearing your body of sugar via your urine, a healthy "blood sugar drain". (Thereby enabling you to eat as much cake as you like?) There is no mention that passing sugar through your kidneys is damaging and a classic sign of diabetes.

Though the articles claim that there is research from John Hopkins University to confirm this, I cannot find any links to studies. Though certain T2 drugs do work by lowering blood sugar via the urine, these have had medical studies done on them and the side effects (eg thrush) are known and listed.

As far as I am concerned, this looks very much like snake oil to me. Caveat emptor. (Buyer beware).

thank you
