Glucomen Areo lancing device and Lancets

Hi, new to forum and wanted to ask a question about the Glucomen Areo meters lancing device to see if anyone else has this problem.

Was given the meter few months ago to replace my freestyle one by GP due to costs but I'm finding that Lancets are pricking the finger deep and leaves finger painful and red. Got it set at lowest setting and even have to hold the Lancing pen slightly away from finger so it doesn't go too deep.

I was given the apollo twist Lancets to use as part of my prescription but they dont seem to sit properly inside the lancing pen.

Just wondering if maybe an issue with the lancing pen or the actual Lancets not being big enough to fit properly ( actually if I take top off pen, put Lancet in and press button the Lancets comes flying out)

Anyone else had this problem?
Thanks

Do you have another lancing device that you are comfortable with you do not have to use the one that came with the meter the lancets are universal and should fit any lancing device except of course for ones like the fastclix that holds a drum.

The Glucomen Areo, usually comes with Glucoject lancets, how did you end up with the Apollo Twist Lancets?

Got a freestlye one, same issue the Lancets dont fit properly

Mind you the glucojet lancets are universal and should fit any lancing device and visa versa any other universal shaped lancets should fit the glucojet lancing device. according to the manufacturers web site.

edit withdrawn was nonsense.

That is what I was given on my prescription by GP to go with new meter when they changed me over to the Glucomen.
So I probably have the wrong Lancets then? I'll maybe get in touch with GP see if I can get the Glucojet Lancets then if they usually come with that meter.
Thanks

Thanks, I'll try and source a replacement one see if that fixes the problem.

Do you have spare lancets for the freestyle one could try them in the glucojet or just use the freestyle lancing device until you can get the lancets supplied changed.

No used them all and has been taken off my repeat prescription by GP so cant get anymore from there.
I've managed to order some Glucojet lancets which someone else suggested so I'll try them when they arrive see if that makes a difference.

Guess your GP is trying to save a few quid. If your practice has a diabetes nurse, you might find her to be more sympathetic to your needs.

Just done a test with glucmen (Green) against gluco rx (blue) lancet with glucmen device l found both about the same. GlucoRx device has 6 positions against 5 for glucmen which may help you. if can get them Box of glucorx lancets comes with a lancing device

Same problem here and I use mylife 0.3mm 32g lancets.

Stopped using that lancing device completely because of how painful it is even if you set it on 1. I wasn’t happy with the Meyer’s accuracy either so I just ordered a free meter from a different company online and I use their stuff, my GP immediately put the test strips on my repeat prescription list when I asked for test strips for the meter I got myself
