I normally take my evening Glucophage tablet around 7pm with dinner. Is it more important to stick to the time or if going out for a meal at, say at 9pm, that I take it with the meal?

Hi Sue.

How should you take Glucophage?
Do not take more or less of Glucophage than directed by your doctor. The drug should be taken with food to reduce the possibility of nausea or diarrhea, especially during the first few weeks of therapy.

If taking Glucophage XR, be sure to swallow the tablet whole; do not crush it or chew it. The inactive ingredients in the tablet may occasionally appear in the stool. This is not a cause for concern.

If you miss a dose...
Take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the one you missed and go back to your regular schedule. Never take 2 doses at the same time.

Basically, take it at whatever time your meal is.
Hope that helps.

Ken.

With meals is best I think

Thanks you guy's. I've a few family get togethers coming up and will be eating who knows when so at least I know what to do now.
