Good evening!

So I know many surgeries have changed the prescriptions of people using BD microfine (or other) to GlucoRX. I have read a lot of bad reviews and being a bit of a wimp with needles as it is I am terrified of trying them! I've seen some horrific bruise/bleed pictures and I seem to bruise/lump/bleed very easily as it is.

Does anyone have any honest experiences they are willing to share? If I have nothing to worry about then I will feel better and if they really are as cheap and horrendous as I have read I think I will have a word with the doctor!

Hi lunar_lapin

Hadn't heard anything negative myself. I've been using glucorx for a couple of months. Not had any problems.

Where'd you get your info from, - out of interest.

A mixture of places really, different forums, diabetics on Instagram. I saw a post on here from earlier this year when I was reading yesterday with several people saying they were cheap and bent easily but I couldn't find it tonight!

I'm glad you're getting on fine with them, hopefully I will have no issues either :)

I changed to the same needles as you recently. They don't bend any more than the BD needles do and I haven't had any more bruises than usual when using them and I bruise so easily

If you have a supply of GlucoRX, why not start using them while you still have some of your old needles left? If you do find you have problems, you can ask your GP to change back and use your old needles till you get the new supply.
