Yes. I've taken it for years, with my Dr's knowledge, & had no adverse effects. I started taking it for tennis elbow. If I stop taking it, I notice joint problems.

Holloand & Barrett "Extra strength - glucosamine & chondroitin complex"

What I buy depends on the offers.

1500 mg (888 mg glucosamine)
1200 mg chondroitin
Bottle says 3 a day - I find 1 a day is adequate to avoid any problems.

Its not recommended if you have Duprytrens http://www.nhs.uk/conditions/Dupuytrens ... ction.aspx, which is quite common in people with Diabetes.
