Glucose tests question

Is a blood plasma glucose ( non fasting) test, the same as an HbA1c test?
 
No.

The blood plasma test is a test of the blood sugar levels at the moment the test was taken.
The HbA1c is an average of the levels over the previous 2 to 3 months, weighted towards the previous few weeks.

Thanks. I just had more blood tested for a range of things and one of them was plasma glucose test. I didn't think it was HbA1c as I thought it would surely have been called that.
