Glucose tolerance test and metformin

Yes. I expect it would. Metformin is supposed to help with high Blood Glucose levels. A Glucose Tolerance Test seem more common before diagnosis and treatment.

How long have you been on Metformin? I'm not suggesting you stop it without first discussing with your Doctor. I'm assuming that the Doctor who ordered the test is aware you are on this medication?

Yeh i will speak with my doctor about it, but i can only speak with them this friday. So just thought i would ask around first.

I am seeing two doctors so things are a bit complicated. My Hba1c is 5.8, and i got told my fasting glucose was "normal" but one doctor agreed to try me on metformin as my symptoms SCREAM out diabetes and i am also on steroids which can raise BG. Also whenever i check on test stip after eating carbs ect its always quite high. But now the other doctor who does not know im on metformin has suggested a Glucose Tolerance Test.
