Hi,
I'm new on here I had gestational diabetes in 2010 and have a blood test every year to test my blood sugar levels.Last week I had a fasting blood test and the results were 6.2 so I had to have a glucose tolerance test this morning, after fasting for 8 hours last night my blood glucose reading was 7.8! I think this is high,I dont have the results of gthe glucose test yet but was wondering if the fasting blood sugar results is infact high? Can anyone shed some light?
Thanks in advance
Cheryl

Hi
Only your Doc can say if you have diabetes or not, but IMO them reading as a little above normal. If you do have diabetes you know where we are, you'll get lots of help and advice from forum members.

Wait for the results, but from your fasting level, don't be suprised if you're diagnosed as diabetic or pre-diabetic. Don't be despondent either. It's not the end of the world, and is very manageable with sensible changes to diet and lifestyle.
