Hi all
Have just got a BG meter (Medisana Meditouch) ran a test on it and it was within the gamut of given BG levels so I am assuming the meter is correct (ie hasn't gone wrong in six hours).
Have just taken a pre-meal test (5½ hours after I'd last ate) and my BG is 3.1 should I be worried ?
I was diagnosed as having T2 9 days ago . First blood test was a fortnight before that

3.1 is a bit low, but meters are a bit hit and miss, it could be right or more likely your BGs are somewhere around that figure.

If you feel well a low reading on it's own does not mean that you will go Hypo.

If I tested 3.1 I would have something to eat and check again in 2 hours. I would hope to be 7 or less.

If you consistantly test at below 4 then you no longer have T2 and can eat whatever you like (Only joking).

Personally, I wouldn't go as long without eating something, maybe an apple or orange or some nuts.

3.8 to 4 is a good place to be, less is not so good, your brain needs sugar to function and will go on strike if it doesn't get any.
