Thank you! I’ve been looking at a monitor I can calibrate, I’ve been using a Libre 3. It’s very expensive! I went and got a finger prick kit and it was 3% out! Too far in my opinion. Thanks for your advice.Hello and welcome to the forum @dawnVTC. Yes you make perfect sense. I've never taken Mounjaro so I cannot comment on the medication, however, from my own experience my cgm estimated HbA1c has been a poor indicator of my actual HbA1c results. In point of fact my HbA1c has always been higher than the predicted value of my cgm. I use Libre 2.
Yes, very much so. I didn’t have a clue about those apps. Thank you so much.Hi @dawnVTC ,
There are free 3rd party apps like Diabox, Juggluco or XDrip that should work with the L3 that can be calibrated..
Hope this helps?
Depending on if you have a smartwatch & what type? Readings could also be shared from a phone to your watch using these apps on your watch display, too..Yes, very much so. I didn’t have a clue about those apps. Thank you so much.
I’ve got an old Apple Watch, it’s odd because there’s no app for it but I get messages if my levels are too high/low. I’m leaning towards Dexcom. Yes, it’s strange, it a nicer interface than Dexcom’s but not having an app for the watch is rather disappointing. As you say 2025Hi there,
I also made the move to the Dexcom One+ (from Libre 2)
I had been using Libre for many years and self funding (paying for it myself)… as a CGM, Libre was a game changer. That is why I kept on paying for it.
Reasons for considering the change:
- I am a Apple Watch user and Dexcom have a native Apple Watch app that works seamlessly
- Over the years I had a high failure rate / reliability issue with Libre. On average 15-25% of sensors I had to return and replace
- Dexcom have a subscription option so it works out slightly cheaper
Of all the above reasons, the Apple Watch app was the clincher for me…
After years using 3rd party apps and technical workarounds it began to annoy me that a multi billion dollar corporation couldn’t be bothered to develop a smartphone app - in 2025…
