Hi
Was doing some random research and came across Goats Rue as a herbal supplement to reduce BS. There are no shortage of real and imaginary supplements but this seemed a little different as apparently the active agent in metformin is derived from Goats Rue.

I am a T2 controlling BS with diet and exercise. BS starting to creep up slightly and was researching if it is a good idea to request to go on the minimum dose of metformin (HbA1c is 38, diagnosed @ 80 few months ago, however, liver have its ow ideas in the morning).
Being male, using Goats Rue to increase the milk flow for breast feeding is not really of interest.
Any ideas/thoughts
Regards
