Hi there, just as the title says, I'm off to Majorca tomorrow and I have a couple of question!
We are setting off around 4.30am, what should I do about my AM basal? i usually take my levemir at around 11pm then in the morning at 8/9 am (at the moment I'm off for the summer so not getting up as early) Shall. Have my pm dose a bit earlier then my Am when I get up? Or wait and give it at 8am?
Also, quick question about frio packs. Can I put pens in one (with a cartridge in them) and spare insulin cartridges in the other?
Any other tips about being abroad welcome!

Many thanks.

if it were me i would try to take my basal as close to my normal times as possible
an hour either way should be fine though.

sounds a good plan with your frio packs :)

be aware that hot weather can affect blood sugar levels -- definitely test a bit more first couple of days to see how they affect you-- i find I need more insulin in hotter weather -- HOWEVER there are other people on the forum that need less as they become more sensitive to the insulin in the heat.
testing is the key !!

PS -- have a fab time -- well jell here :p

dos cervezas por favor :)
