I received my gold medal from Diabetes UK for living with diabetes for over 50 years.Thank you Diabetes UK.
 
Well done yingtong, I'm a couple of years behind you I think as have just started year 50.
Mind you I have no intention to writing to diabetes UK and asking for a medal.

I have 24 years of catching up to do.

That was very thoughtful of them.
My GP did say he would apply for my one. If he does I shall pass it on to my Mum as she was the on who kept me on the straight and narrow and taught me how to look after myself so have grown up complication free.
 
For any diabetics who read this thread it is possible to live a good life with diabetes,I'm not kidding you it's easy but is possible and I only have couple of minor complications.

Robin redbreast I'm not sure how how to do this on my iPad but when one of my kids come round I'll get them to do it.
