Hi my lovely FriendWhat can I say to your post (above) @Granny_grump_ except that what lovely and enjoyable people you and your Sister P are! It was sheer joy the last 2 days and I know I can talk- got a sore throat today .
From my waist down I am ache'y and stiff, my feet are 'tingling' = but well worth it. For the chatter, laughter and hours of exercise = walking off those "coffee and cakes". I am amazed my fasting was only a 6.0 this morning?
Hope @polly 20 legs/feet are OK? Who did exceptionally well walking, considering her legs that had been recently operated on for the circulation.
And would you believe it's glorious Sunshine here today Girls!!!.
Hi Cumberland
Hi Cumberland
Yes it was a great meet up lovely lovely people, what more could you ask for, great company wonderful surroundings and not bad weather, great food and friendships all round! K
@Granny_grump_ .....so pleased you had a wonderful time meeting up in York with Liam......would certainly agree with your sentiments of meeting up with people that you chat to on here....one in particular has definitely changed my life for the better....and I have his....with the result that we are planning to get married later in the year.....Hello everyone what a fabulous time my sister and I had in York Liam1955 and R never stopped talking and walking we all hit it of from meeting them at York station,we walk talked eat drank coffee had cake and loved it so much,it was fabulous meeting Liam what a great person he is and he and his partner showed us round York until 6 in the evening, and so knowledgeable about places, we loved it.
And we met Liam again next day to round off our time in York with more sites and shops, and cake and coffee, when Liam got us too the station to come home it was a sad time because we had a met up with a forum friend who otherwise may have never met had it not been for this diabetic forum site, so a big thank you to the forum you should all make a little effort to meet up and get to see all the people you chat with on here. It can change your lives for the better, and we hope to meet with Liam and partner again in the not too distant future. A Huge ThankYou Liam1955 and R : love you and leave you K

Oh @maureen5752 . My heart goes out to you. Are you feeling any better today?Morning. Went hospital yesterday, been having problems since catarach ops, confirmed yesterday I have now got blepharospasm!!!! Awful feeling. & had bad fall early in week & I'm very sore & bruised on left side & whole arm Good day to you all
I only put funny because that's what happens to me! lolI know it was only after I finished sending messages I realised I was not on chat but BG ,Please accept my dearest apologies again moderators.

Lovely post @Granny_grump_ and I'm so glad you and your sister had such a great time in York with @Liam1955 and R. It sounds as if you certainly packed a lot in! For me, I cannot walk well so I'd limited to coffee shops and staying local. I'd refuse a wheelchair, i need the movement as much as possible but not kill myself. York is renound for alot of walking, always has been. Only way I can enjoy York now is to take my time. Very very slow!Lovely post @Granny_grump_ and I'm so glad you and your sister had such a great time in York with @Liam1955 and R. It sounds as if you certainly packed a lot in! (And I'm not just talking about the cake...)
Perhaps it's a bit strong, though, to say "you should all make a little effort to meet up and get to see all the people you chat with on here", as we are not all on the same journey, after all, and many of our members prefer to maintain anonymity, for lots of different reasons.
What the others on this thread don't know is that we have a wedding planners committee & we are planning all the details for the wedding. Molly is getting worried hehehehehehehThank you @Liam1955 .....my hubby to be is @Clivethedrive .....we met here on the forum about 14 months ago and are happily living together now.....it all started with a simple private message to say 'Hello' and have someone to talk to....we quickly hit it off and met up in person....and the rest as they say is history.......I couldn't be happier....
5s are brilliant @maureen5752 . You wouldnt want lowering meds with 5s. You always work hard to keep your bgs good. Well done.@ickihun hi thanks no eyes driving me nuts, got blaspasm which makes eye keep twitching now these big floaters driving me nuts, vision has changed recently, told no lifting ect, saw gp othere day hbc1a is 5.8% again but wants to change one of my meds to gliptin & cholestrol meds I didn't accept said I wanted to know why the change & what's the benifits & cons, no reply so staying as I am at moment. @ickihun sorry to hear your not to well hope things improve soon for you, as you say dissability is frustrating even tho I've had it for 61 years now eye problems, just wish doctor told me about after problems before op. Yes as you say 5's are good what surprised me is the fact I forgot my meds & got 5's makes me wonder if it was a one off or I need to take meds, or need less of them. I've Not been active for months, as you know this isn't helpful being disbetic but we just have to get on with it, otheres worse of than us, I hope you get well soon & life gets easier for you. Sending you loads of hugs & good wishes. Have good day, yes I'll certainly keep fighting have been for many years, I never give up, have off days like everyone but soon bounce back life's to short. Wish you well x5s are brilliant @maureen5752 . You wouldnt want lowering meds with 5s. You always work hard to keep your bgs good. Well done.
I feel for you at the moment as I know how it feels to have a disability at the moment. I'm like you, I just want it resolved so I can get on with enjoying my life. Me and you aren't used to being held back by health problems. It is frustrating. Hang in there, I will too. Things do get better. Acceptance is the hardest thing for me. I believe nothing is impossible! Look after yourself, I'm sending lots of hugs from me. Keep smiling, I know very difficult when odd things make us sad! Keep fighting for good health, yes, it is worth it! ♡♥♡
