3 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons onion ( I used green)
4 tablespoons HWC
1 tablespoon cream cheese. I used an ounce of Boursin instead.
Garlic salt and pepper to taste
Optional is spicy seasoning.
Well I guess everything is optional

Melt.

Poured over sauted mushrooms and chicken thighs. Heaven !

Was originally meant as a soup base so there’s another option.

Sounds great, @Kristin251 and it would be good for all sorts of veggies. Er, but at the risk of appearing thick, what does HWC mean? Half something cream? My brain has entered Friday slump mode!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who didn't know

Lmao. Yes. Heavy whipping cream. Here I go again...
@Bluetit1802 is going to have to inform me what y’all call it.

And I can’t think of anything it wouldn’t be good on. Even just a spoon. Lol
The original recipe was for crab bisque

Heavy cream as far as I’m aware is double cream. Any American recipe I’ve ever made where heavy cream is required I’ve used double cream and it’s been fine. Although I think single cream would be fine for this as well. It’s sounds fab, thanks.

I guess its double whipping cream, or double cream that can be whipped!!!! I never buy whipping cream. I prefer pouring cream.
Yes this is the kind you pour. Just full fat cream.

I had it in a spoon with a little sprinkle of cinnamon.

I could be so addicted. I froze some in 2 oz cups. Need to keep my dairy low.
