Good Morning

A vicious circle Liam as of course antibiotics can elevate blood sugar! You probably know this already! Fingers crossed!
Once again, I'm weird. My bgs were great on antibiotics and paracetamol recently for a virus and infection. Strange.

200 mg Levothyroxine! Phew!
I started on 50mg in 1993 when 17st. I think stress from pulling suitcases around England, on and off trains and tubes didn't help. I absorb stress instead of batting it off or sending it back to where it came from. Its not in my nature to hurt anyone. Definitely not intentionally, I'd rather just suck it up and let it go or put it in a box, stored for experience.
Only went on 200mg when pregnant with now 3yr old as if too low fetus can be born with brain damage. Consultant was rechecking it every week til it was high enough. I have a sporty boy rather than an einstein.
You get what your given and ironically it will keep him healthier due to being so active rather than sitting in a lab. God gives you what you need!

Morning guys!
Sunny here but with a cold wind. Staying local today and might buy a naughty since I've been good all week. Money all tied up in bills now so a cheap treat is all I can afford.
I bet strict lchf people will be struggling to get their courgetti now. Rubber low carb pasta is yuck! :***:

3/2 - Good Morning from a Sunny but Cold York. Hope you all enjoy the day. Hugs sent out to all the poorly people. Got an amazing 4.9 fasting - I was 5.1 before bed at 1.30am - so had some big lumps of smoked Apple wood cheese. Seeing the Liver Specialist this morning for my Review .

Incredible readings! Good luck with the liver specialist and report back! I'm sure you will!

Good grief William, I think that we should all ask our docs for Dapagliflozin. Fabulous fbg

How did you get on?

6/2/- Good Morning from a very foggy and cold York. Hugs sent to all the poorly people especially to @debrasue and hope you are feeling a little bit better .
Everyone else enjoy the day.

My fasting levels have been above normal for the last three days - I have a cold. Today I clean the fridge in anticipation for my new box of insulin. Have a good day Everyone!

7/2 - Good Morning from a rainy, miserable and dull York. Hugs sent out to the poorly people, extra Hug to @debrasue and hope you are feeling better today, than you were yesterday .
Everyone else enjoy the day.
Woke up at 5am - shaking, sweating, feeling panicky - I was having a Hypo. Reached for the Glucose Tablets I keep in the Bedroom and ate 6, then into the bathroom - quick wash of hands and tested it was 3.8 (might have been lower?) Think? I need to lower Insulin more - have been reducing it by 2 units every 2 days. Today going to try 19 units this morning and 19 units this evening. (Only last Thursday was on 44 units, but then started the Dapagliflozin and GP did say I may need to decrease my Insulin to 38 units and go less if needed?).
By 5.20am it was 4.3 and I went and ate something more substantial.

Wow! You take care, William. Your numbers have been dropping significantly lately and we don't want to see you overdoing it. I do feel a bit better today, thank you. Big hugs x

Hi @debrasue . Thinking of you. Sending a virtually coffee or hot drink of your choice! Just take it slowly. Don't skimp on nutritious food if your up to it. Soups can be a god send.
Shame not equilivant to meals on wheels for reduced salt and reduced carb eaters! They'd make a killing!
We all get those nasty times where we need a helping hand. Don't be afraid to ask. Your only human and I'm sure you do your share of helping out when your well. Its your turn. Ask hun. ♡♥♡

Morning all big hugs to @debrasue @ickihun and @Liam1955 hope you get relief soon . Forgot to test again this morning so just tested 2HR after breakfast 16.9 mmol ouch guess this must be the pain and steroid cream pushing my levels up .
Increasing my pain relief patch today to the 15mg but don't think it's going to help .
Have a good everyone

@eldergarth - Good Morning Ron - I am interested about the 15mg Patch and what effect(s) it has on you? Keep me updated will you?
What did you eat at Breakfast time?
Hello @tina_marie - Hope you are fully recovered now.
Just finishing a coffee and going for a lay down - my head still feels fuzzy and I'm a wee bit disoriented from my Hypo earlier this morning.
Like your Wheel Chair Ron .

Hypo!!! Mama mia!!!

@asparagusp - Hi S - You are on Insulin too? Have you had many Hypo's?
That is my 4th in 3 years, - but my 1st one to occur in my sleep - thank goodness it woke me in order to treat it as it could have been more serious. - W.

OK William will keep you updated with the patch ,according to gp they have to build it up in your system and not just jump up-to the 20mg .
had my usual breakfast gluten / wheat free cereal 30g with unsweetened almond milk this normally gives me increase of 2mmol
I remember when I was having hypos last year it was happening everyday at work for about two weeks not nice but no chances of any now not dropped below mid 7's in months

Ron you were walking loads then thou. It does make a difference. You need to express your concerns to your dn. I think you need extra support now. Lchf will help thou, cereal isn't normally classed as low carb but if I know @tina_marie she will sort you out.
Maybe keep cereal for a treat or on holiday?
You may need to do 30-50g carb diet hun. Less food needed for people like me and you who are mostly immobile.
I love my food too. Its a double whammy! I'm sure medics thought I did no exercise etc but now they know exactly how much I was doing! Shame they have blinkers on , mostof the time where obese ppeople are concerned.
My weight has accumulated from having type2 at 6yr old. I'm luckily I'm not the fatest woman in the world. I'm not because of eating well and exercising and being very cery active, til now! Well I still eat well but portions have to be smaller.

I went onto insulin August 2015 but it wasn't until March, 2016 the hypos kicked in and increasingly so. In September 2016 I cut out the Gliclazide at bedtime which helped a little. I decreased the i insulin, which also helped a little. In October I changed from taking it in the evening to the morning and as far as I know I haven;t had a hypo since mid Novemeber.

Your drug beginning with D might have to be decreased?

@asparagusp - I am on the lower dose of 5mg Dapagliflozin and only take 1 a day. Plus I take 4 x 500mg Metformin daily and was taking 23 units of Insulin in a morning and 23 units in the Evening. But, as my GP instructed me - to cut down by 2 units every 3 - 4 days until I get to a total of 38 units. See how my blood sugars are ? And I can decrease more if needed too.
I had No Insulin this morning - been quite 'blah' :***: most of the day and so took only 20 units of Insulin before my Evening Meal.
