After a year of low carb eating - not no carb, and not dieting - I'm a TOFI, and despite far too many lapses, my HbA1c has come down to 43, after a shocking 88 a year ago. (I was clueless for years .) My previous result was 49 in July, and I thought that was amazing.
The bad news is my eyesight is decidedly blurry. And constantly. This after a referral to hospital for macular degeneration just last Friday, when I reported it wasn't great, but not blurry.
TOFI is thin on the outside, fat on the inside. If I lose weight, my arms and legs become stick-like, but my visceral fat resists leaving. You could have knocked me over when I was diagnosed with T2D, except my mother had it. Thank you for well wishes.
Well done on reducing your hba1c - great result.
Hope you get to see someone soon about your eye issues and find out more about what's wrong and treating if needed. Crossing fingers the blurryness is temporary.
