Good news.....but what next?

Hi,

Having had a record high HB result back in August (68), I made immediate changes to my diet in a bid to fend off the normal GP solution to just increase meds, and had my latest result back this morning. Delighted with 38!

Question is, what should I do now? Obviously the change to LCHF diet is working well, but is it possible for me to consider reducing or even coming off meds? I'm currently on 2x500mg Metformin and 1x80mg Gliclazide daily.

Thanks in anticipation - I have significantly more confidence in the info gleaned from this forum than I have from the medical professionals generally!

Well done @warop31
As bluetit mentioned, best to discuss meds with HCP you have been seeing.
Also, continue to check your blood glucose regularly, and if you are seeing increases adjust carb intake accordingly. I would hope you will still have HbA1c monitored and eye and foot checks too.
