Good News from the diet doctor

Yes, that's the sort of story that's good to read.
You have just reminded me of one of the doctors from yesterday though.
He gives out 'medals' at his surgery for diabetic control, and was talking about a type 1 patient he has, who has been diabetic for 70 years.
No complications, and that's from the good old days of the glass syringes, boiled in a pan at home, the lack of testing, and onto the amazing advances we have now.
