Hi everyone . Am hoping someone will be able to offer their experience .

I was diagnosed 11 weeks ago with an Hb result of 9.5, BG on day 13.6 and Cholesterol of 6.9. Am T2

Test repeated last week and results back as Hb of 7.0, BG on day 5.3 and Cholesterol 5.8. Am happy with improvement so far. However, a urine sample has come back showing high protein levels and another blood test has shown elevated iron levels. New bloods taken and appointment arranged for next week to see doc to discuss results of that.

I'm really worried about these 2 new bombshells and seriously p***ed off that i'm not really able to enjoy the good results I got today.

Can anyone offer their experience of what the protein/iron levels might mean? Do these mean I might have some complications to deal with?

Many thanks - Cath

Great results .....cath16

Protein ......could be an infection......we don't always know about infections.....

Don't know if you take iron or have any b12 injections.... Iron will go high if you have taken to much....but I am guessing you haven't and there must be another cause...

Hope you find out very soon .....tc. Kat x

Have you been eating too much red meat? There is a lot of iron in that, especially in liver.

Hopefully your GP will give you some advice.

Excellent on the Blood Sugar limits but I think I have worked out your new diet...

Seriously good luck at the doctors and hope it isn't anything too serious.
