Coconut oil is not an omega 6 rich PUFA and can be used freely.
I'm pretty certain that means be careful with other oils apart from olive oil, coconut oil, avacado oil etcThis was said on the Quick Eat Fat thread
Be careful with other oils than olive oil, coconut oil, avocado and nut oils as their omega 6 content is high and cause inflammation in the body (the main reason for CVD)
What oils do you use for cooking and dressings. I know most agree olive oil is the best but there are differing opinions about other oils example I know a lot of you use coconut oil which I have been using lately but read on another thread it is not a good oil to use because it has to much omega 6 in it as some other oils do to so is it better to just to stick to olive oil ???
It's very good.I use rapeseed oil for cooking. Is this good or bad?
It's very good.
Lowers bad cholesterol. It's generally a very good oil.Phew! But why?
Yes I use that to as I understood it is a good oil many top chefs now use rapeseed instead of olive oilI use rapeseed oil for cooking. Is this good or bad?
Yes perhaps I did misunderstand the thread especially as I have heard here and read on the net that coconut oil is a good one thats was why I bought someExtra virgin olive oil for salad dressings and dips but for frying I use Coconut oil. Quite simply it is THE BEST!
