The good thing about this forum is that people understand from personal experience what you are going through. I had my diagnosis 7 weeks ago. I was certainly in shock for a few days, in denial for a few weeks and yes a little depressed in the midst of that. The bottom line though is that it is so much better to know than be one of the huge number of people out there who go undiagnosed. If you are T2 there is enough evidence on the forum that a lot that can be done to improve and perhaps even reverse the condition by diet and exercise. Read and learn. Carb control is particularly important. I guess we all cope with the diagnosis differently, for me I focussed on the positives, I hadn't been well for about a year. At least now I know what has been making me feel off. Now my blood sugar is significantly reduced I feel better than I have in 10 years. If you are ready to take on the world I am sure you can take on diabetes :) Good luck and welcome to the forum.
