Just wanted to pass on some news, hopefully to encourage other newly diagnosed folks here that there is light at the end of the tunnel so to speak.
I was diagnosed type 2 in August this year, so with a change of diet, activity and meds i have made a small step in controlling the big D.
Results in August were,HbA1C(DCCT) 7.7H October result. 7.3H
HbA1C(IFCC) 60.7H >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>56.3H
Cholesterol 5.7 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 3.9
HDL Cholesterol 1.38>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 1.25
Cholesterol/HDL ratio 4.1>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 3.1
I know it is only a small change but it is in the right direction,
I am quite chuffed with myself as i've lost weight too, I suffer with a condition called fibromyalgia and even that has been alot better. So newbies don't think having diabetes is the end of the world, be proactive in controlling your BG levels you too can be taking small steps to feeling well.
One last thing... I want to thank everyone here for the support of this forum i don't think i'd have come on so well without you all.XX
