Had my first 3 month Diabetic review with GP today. He said if he gave out stickers to adults I would get the biggest best one ever!! I've got my HbA1c down from 103/ 11.6% to 51/ 7.0 in just over 3 months whilst on steroids & with Exercise Induced Anaphylaxis!! I know I've some way to go but am still very pleased.
Slight 'fly in the ointment' my consultant Immunologist has put me on immuno- suppressants so that they can attempt to reduce my steroids. Trouble is, one of the many horrible side-effects is a possible blood sugar level rise!!
Really bad & very ironic (don't think you can have very ironic but never mind?!!) thing this morning was when I asked the GP could I now have testing strips prescribed because I'd shown how well I could do with testing & low carbing- he said no, now that my levels were so good he could never justify giving them to me now?!!! Arghhh!!!!

Welldone sunny for getting your BS down so quickly. You certainly deserve a good girl sticker  With very best wishes RRB

Well done it would have taken loads of hard work on your part to achieve that

Unfortunately some doctors will simply create any excuse not to hand out strips :x
