Go Kimbo! It's virtually 4 jeans sizes now Eddie- and I love it!! That's the thing, I feel much more alive and better than in years! Certainly much more energy
Yes Eddie. ... trying to just get the vital bits for now as every few weeks things7 are baggy again!! Really aiming to be one Jean size less by April's hba1c then should be time to look at maintaining not losing, the speed I've gone at though it could be 2 less, but I don't desire to be skinny as I'm 6. 2 1/2" and like some shape !!Well done Kimbo, FOUR sizes down, crikey you should be doing a jig for that lol. Must have also cost getting new stuff to wear though.
Thank you for that, the advice and support peacetrain! I'm still thinking the whole conversation through in my head, I guess to move off the meds is progress, I just didn't expect the negative vibe from him regarding forxiga. My last hba1c was 38 and I just really don't want to have it higher in April when it's due again! You've done a superb job so far! I understand your apprehension regarding cessation of medication. I did it gradually. At the end of May I achieved an HbA1c of 35 after reducing my Metformin gradually since February. After the May test I dropped the metformin completely and my November HbA1c was 38. So ... Yes it had risen but it was still in the "normal" range. According to the chart it says test for hypoglycaemia if in this range. I've documented elsewhere that I feel strange once I start getting to 5.2 and below. We are all different, however, and if you feel well then I don't see any problem for you. I've also experienced hair loss so I might try taking some of the advice given here. I have thinning hair anyway, much like my mother and her sister, although 2 other sisters are fine and so is my sister.
Thanks for starting this thread and good luck.
Well, I had a busy day yesterday and only realised at bedtime I hadn't taken my forxiga as I normally do on waking......didn't know what effect that would have this morning, tested as normal on waking and 5.1, so no difference (had gone to bed on 4.8) to my recent mornings really!! Obviously I shall continue on my forxiga as planned until this supply runs out and I'm still seeing the nurse on the 30th after my concerns above from seeing my GP last week
Really not too sure which I want most Eddie, the homeless case worker I've been offered is just relief/bank so I would still get some time off before the season kicks off again- I've worked through for 22 months with no breaks, but the 3 month post is guaranteed hours .Well that's good Kimbo and congratulations on the new job ! I am having an extremely lazy morning as I am on leave till the 27th Dec. Got cards and some little Prezzies to buy, I've got most of it in. Have a nice day.
Too tall to "limbo" Clive- 6.2 1/2"!!Kimbo , sorry blaming auto correct
