Hi , i have been a poorly controlled diabetic for 30 years. I have been on and off insulin and tablets over the years. My GP started me on Mounjaro April 2025 and it worked wonders. My sugars were well controlled and my HBA1C has reduced from 88 to 48 now. I also have a libre which has been a huge help too as i work shifts and are too busy to test regularly.
My question is :
My GP has now said she is not providing mounjaro or the libre anymore as ` i dont need it ` !! She said there are other people who need it more than me . I asked now my sugars are under control why dont i need it . She said because i have lost weight i dont need it anymore . This really surprised me and i thought i would be on it for life due to being diabetic. Has anyone else been taken off it ? I am so worried i will be back to square one . I have really bad peripheral neuropathy and very poor mobility.
Sorry to go on ......thank you for getting this far .

H have never used this but from what I can understand it is VERY expensive this maybe why, has she given you a replacement such as insulin ?
