My Grandson was diagnosed at 8 and is now 12. He has been doing his injections himself for a couple of years but just can’t physically do it the last few weeks.
I am certain that anxiety about Covid and Lockdown have affected him.
He rated his anxiety about doing it as 7/10 but when we chatted about an anxiety scale he downgraded to a 2 or 3 out of 10. (Maybe just trying to please me).
He said it probably hurt 1 time in every 4.
He hovers over his injection site and can’t physically take the last step.
Any shared experiences of this or ideas would be gratefully received.
His Nurse is aware and a Psychologist is also on the case.
