Hi there, has anyone a healthy version of granola, i love it, but obviously is so sweet, so thinking of making my own with oats and nuts and some not many dried fruits, but what do people use for sweetener and how do they cook it.

I used to love Nigella Lawsons version of Granola, but it was VERY sweet

I supposed you could sub some of the ingredients for a less sweeter more natural version... ?

cheers
Alli

Lizzis granola is low GI and I have never had a problem with it, it is a bit expensive at nearly £4 a bag but I find it goes a very long way, some lovely flavours too but I find the chocolate one or the original one affects me least. I have mine with 0% Greek yoghurt and fresh berries.

If you google low carb granola recipes you will get up loads of great ideas to make :)

Meant to say you get lizzis in tesco or google it to get it online
