John, type 1 since 1975, Minimed Veo and sometimes CGM. I prefer operating my pump manually. I believe any brittle pumper should perform rigorous basal tests. I am a low carber. I debated low carbers and they told me I knew squat about it, so I set out to learn. I was eventually and reluctantly assimilated. I'm now down weight for the first time in my life and feeling incredibly better. Dx'd with proliferative retinopathy in 1993, vitrectomy in 2006, and zero signs of trouble the last three and a half years. A1C runs sub 6, usually, with few hypos and mostly minor. I've been 911'd nine times in my career between 1995 and 2006. I have a number of UK diabetic friends, and I'm interested in how the UK treats us. I don't plan on being very active here. My time as an active forum debater is waning.

Greetings and welcome, xMenace.

It is good to have you onboard with your long experience in the world of diabetes. Hopefully we will hear from you from time to time.

Regards

Doug
