Hi! Alan here - Swedish nationality (English father) - living in Naantali, Finland. 70 years old in November. Just been diagnosed with Type 2 so reading up as much as possible. Will be interesting to compare the treatment offered between Finland and the U.K.
Hi Alan, and welcome to the forum.
The experience of the majority of Type 2's is that in the UK most are offered medication without any advice about diet - merely a suggestion to lose weight.
This forum has many members who are in T2D remission despite the standard care, due to being prepared to verify for themselves that a Low Carbohydrate way of eating reduces Blood Glucose -for most even without medication.
