Everybody is different .luckly my doctor never put me on any drugs .finding the lowcarb forum was a godsend .just ask questions and things will improve for you,it was life changing for me
Hi. Those figures aren't too bad so it's possible the right diet will move your readings down with out meds. Most of us will say to reduce the carbs in your diet. If with a lower carb diet your blood sugar doesn't come down to 'normal' then the doc may prescribe Metformin which is a good, safe drug which will help a bit.
It is possible in some individuals to stay med free and avoid medication all together but it does require some diet and lifestyle changes if it is going to work. It is important to make changes you can live with as it is a lifetime commitment. I will tag @daisy1 to post you some.great information to read.
