Hi guy's,
I have always been skinny but lost even more weight before being diagnosed only 6 months ago. The whole thing has made me want to be as healthy as I can be but am not sure of the best practice to becoming a gym bunny whilst taking insulin.
With the 'body eating itself' when high comments I've heard about is it pointless working out with high sugar levels? what is too high for it to be pointless?
I've heard of body builders manipulating insulin to get bigger (not that I want to be a body builder) but does this mean that if I keep my sugar levels as low as possible whilst exercising and eat loads with it I can put weight on quickly?
Should I take insulin into the gym with me, check my sugars whilst working out and counteract accordingly? I have not a clue!
Can any gym bunnies give me any advice on getting fit quickly? other than the diabetes I am quite healthy so vigurous exercise is OK for me I think?
