I was just wondering whether any type 1 diabetics have experience hair loss ???

I had an alarming amount of hair loss whilst my diabetes had yet to be detected. My b/s was in the mid twenties. Now that it's under control the hair loss has diminished considerably. I can only think hair doesn't thrive on sugar!

Hello.
I was diagnosed in June and noticed a lot of hair loss for a few months after diagnoses. Doctor said it's due to stress on the body whilst levels are either high or changing
I'm under control now for a good few months and my hair is looking thick and healthy again so don't panic :)
Maybe when u see ur doc mention it for some reassurance
 
Hello to all, I have significant hair loss, but no reason has been given.
Am I stressed?, yes, but some how I think it is something else for me, my skin is showing through the hair on the top of my head, and I have a comb over-ish style, but not a Bobby Charlton type!!
