Big whoopsie yesterday.

The folks who come round to clean the gutters and windowframes etc. turned up unexpectedly yesterday morning, which put me off my stride a bit.

When the visitors we *were* expecting turned up and took us out for a pub lunch I forgot my meter.

I had a half of bitter and tried to walk off the carbs round the village and up and downhill through the churchyard.

After the visitors had left I went for my hunter-gathering trip downtown but I could tell something was wrong when an 80-year-old neighbour overtook me easily.

There are some days I can eat more carbs than I expected: this was definitely not one of them. Even a supper of portobello mushroom, streaky bacon and purple sprouting and a late night snack of prawns, cashews and sesame seeds with garlic in sesame oil didn't help, even though both meals were washed down with copious supplies of Chianti.

This morning's FBG was 5.2 (I am hardly ever over 5) and post breakfast was 7.2 when it should have barely scratched 6. At least I was back to 4.5 before dinner but I am really not looking forward to the postprandial. :(

Chicken casserole with celery carrots peppers and onions and the rest of the Chianti. Now I shall probably need a lie down for a while.

I better be back on form by tomorrow, I am seriously severely backlogged on the gardening.

Oh Dear Trink
As they say
"Tomorrow is another day!"

They were right. :(

My BG was back in line but I chomped down on some cashews during a gardening break and shattered a tooth. My dentist couldn't see me until Thursday but his rival just fitted me in and removed the offending broken off but hanging by a very painful thread piece and repaired the rest.

I'm not usually a fan of intermittent fasting, it tends to annoy my liver, but this time I had little choice.

meanwhile mother has been waiting in for both the nurse and the doctor so today has not been much better. At least the sun's out and there were butterflies in the garden, and the first ladybird.

Tomorrow better be another day or I'll be asking for a refund
