Today I got my latest HBA1c results. I'm down to 51 after being at 92 when I was first diagnosed in July. I started off on Novamix, then moved from that onto Gliclazide, then off that and on to Metaformin and now no medication at all.
Still go a bit to go and still unconfirmed whether they are deciding on T1/2/LADA as not back to see the consultant until the end of February.

Feeling pleased with things at the moment and wanted to say a thank you to all the support and guidance on this site. I've learnt more on here than anywhere else!!!!
 
Very well done. No wonder you feel pleased with yourself. Time to dance round the room now! Brilliant to go from insulin to no meds in just six months. It just shows it can be done. What an inspiration to others. I hope you can keep it up. :)
 
Thank you! I was absolutely horrified when first diagnosed and so confused about it all. I've increased my exercise and gone low carb. I'm still finding out what spikes me but I'm determined to control this and not let it control me. No doubt there will be times when life isn't so rosy but for now I shall take your advice and have a good old dance around...whilst preparing my cauli mash... :D
