Greetings. I'm from the U.S. but currently living in the Middle East. I was diagnosed with T2 in September, 2009 so approaching 3 years. The first months were perplexing and disturbing. I would wake at night and think, "Someone just tell me what to EAT."

Thankfully, within about 6 months and with help from my meter and many good folks around the internet, I found my answer. The rest is in my signature block...

Salim Morgan, T2
59 Years Old
DX: 9/2009 A1C=10.7; 11/2010: 5.1 (DX + 14 months)
Diet: Ketogenic - Approximately C:10;P:15;F:75 (as % calories)
Exercise: Only stairs at home & work these days
NO MEDS, No Highs, No Lows
Grandkids: 11 going on 13

Yup. As far as I can tell from the internet, I think I'm the only Salim Morgan in the world. :P

Not a huge number of Muslims of Welsh descent, I guess.
