harvester or beefeater

has anyone eaten at these. im going out on saturday and had a quick look at the nutrition values on their menus and im confused. How does a spit roast chicken have more sugar and carbs than one dusted in garlic if any . Obvious choices are stay with the meat then salad but are their nutrition values all wrong. I have sea bass regulary and ive never seen carb in it, not according to the beefeater menu lol. any advise anyone i want to celebrate my new job and eat lol.

I doubt very much whether any Chef is likely to tell you too much about the composition of foods other than it probably has a sugar glaze or something similar. That could explain away some of the discrepancies you found ?
 
That's a bummer for me!!.

Just shows you that you need to be careful with assumptions!.
I have always had the kicking garlic chicken, assuming it to be about half a dozen grams due to the garlic sauce, but 71grams :shock: :shock: :shock:

Back to the drawing board!! :cry:

ok did the harvester bit here goes. butterfly chicken with 3 visits to the salad bar and a cut jacket potato. right il explain about the potato. if you go to amazon there is a lovely digital scales that go up to a 1000-grams for £10 with delivery. i carry this with me when i go out and if i come across foods that are a bit dodgy i simply weigh it. i no i can tolerate around 100g of potato so i cut off acordingly. bg after 2 hours 6.5 after eating out with friends quality. ntw when i first weight the potato it was 270g. i also asked for a side order of cheese so the fat from that would slow down the potato. carry those scales with me means i no exactly how much im carb im getting from portions rather than trusting the eye :-d
