Has anyone else had horrible side effects since taking gliclazide?

Not only is the stomach ache really bad but the bloating is terrible. I feel like my stomach is about to pop as it is inflated to an uncomfortable degree.

It is bringing my levels down but it is preventing me from being active because it is painful. Moving around is so uncomfortable, as is sleeping.

I have explained this to my nurse when I spoke to her today.

I was on Gliclizide many years ago and don’t recall having any side effects but reading the patient leaflet it does say it can cause some tummy issues- I’ve linked the patient leaflet below for you, have a read and see if it helps you and maybe speak to your nurse again
