Hi, I'm writing this for a fiend. Praying that someone will have some advice. He doesn't know for sure if he is a diabetic but is having such a hard time with his feet makes me wonder.
He says it feels like he has a wadded up sock or something under his toes when he tries to wear socks and shoes. Says it feels like his last 2 toes fold in under his foot. He is fine without socks and shoes but soon as he puts them on, he lierally goes into fits of rage because of his feet. Gets so angry he says he wishes so bad someone would just chop them off. He is severely adhd but is not taking anything for it, so don't know if that plays into this or not or if he could be a diabetic. He has bought shoes by the dz trying to get relief only to wear them home and throw them up against the wall in a rage cause it always ends up same. Pleeeeease I'm begging, if you have any suggestions, please help me help my friend. I feel so helpless.

He needs to make an appointment with a doctor and get this checked out and checked for diabetes. This could be peripheral neuropathy (nerve damage) due to high blood sugar, or it could be from something else.

I agree NoCrbs4Me but getting this man to go to dr is like pulling teeth. His rage is really worrying me, he has said more than once in past few days that he just feels like blowin his head off.

Your friend has the symptoms of neuropathy and should see a doctor in order to find the cause for this and hopefully get it reversed. So your friend can choose between throwing shoes all over the place or book an appointment to get the problem sorted.

Vitamin B12 causes neuropathy that can be treated if caught early, within a couple of months or so.

We can't diagnose anything, I'm afraid.
He really does need to be seen by a doctor, who may refer him to a consultant.

Sorry not to be more help, but if your friend does have neuropathy, he may well have other, invisible complications of diabetes that would need diagnosis, monitoring and maybe treatment. And if his blood glucose is high enough to cause neuropathy, then he needs monitoring and treatment for that too.

But it may be something else! It may be something simple, easily treated, and it could make a huge difference to his life and moods.

Thanks everyone for your replies, really appreciate it. Guess I was just wondering if y'all think his problem with his feet and his rage could be a diabetic related issue or something else. Has anyone else here ever felt this rage I'm describing or feel like there's something wadded up under their feet like he does.

You said vitamin B-12 causes neuropathy? Not sure if it's B-12 but know he takes a vitamin B of some sort religiously.

If he does have a b12 deficiency then supplements bought in a shop are usually too small doses to help much.
Doctors treat deficiency with injections large doses, while the tablets/capsules are for people who don't want to develop a deficiency in the first place.

If you want to know more about b12 deficiency there are some videos have a search for it on youtube.
