Has anyone experienced this? Type 1 diabetic, head pressure?

Hi all.

I have been diagnosed for the last two years as type 1. My first year, control was really good, but recently I have been finding it difficult with more than usual highs.

For the last 4-5 days I have been experiencing alot of pressure in my head, which feels very heavy and making me lethargic. Currently the pressure is sitting on my nose as if it was something to do with my sinuses.

I did also have my flu jab a week ago, so I'm not sure if this could also be a factor.

My question is, has anyone experienced this also? Could this be to do with my recent spikes, or the flu jab side effects?

I have tried phoning 111 but they just thought I was asking about the coronovirus and I could not get anywhere, currently trying to get a doctors appointment too, when I can get through.

Thank you in advance for any insight.

It sounds like it could be because of your flu jab or you have a virus. What makes you think it's not something to do with your sinuses?
I think it's easy to blame diabetes for everything, but people with diabetes are just like other people, we can get things wrong with us, get colds, flu, viruses, sometimes it's nothing at all to do with our diabetes, we just have to be more careful not to catch things and look after ourselves if we do. There are plenty of things going around at the moment.
If you think how you're feeling is because of your control you'd be best off getting in touch with your DSN, if it is because of a virus or because of your flu jab, there's not a lot a GP can do for you, I'm afraid. Hope you feel better soon :cat:
