I don't want to get into a pointless debate about GI. Your tangent based on what I said is a not relevant. My meaning was that if and when I alter my diet I will be careful to choose the additional carbohydrates sensibly and aim for foods that don't dangerously spike blood sugars. Testing will of course be part of this process.
I vary my diet now though. When I am on a lose weight phase I go low carb as that works otherwise I enjoy the higher carb junk that others enjoy around me. Note my last HbA1c readings in my signature below.
