Has anyone tried Topamax for weight loss?

At first glance this is not a drug I would consider taking for the possibility of weight loss as a side effect. The other possible side effects would sway my decision.

They are not really nice to have for side effects either.
Thank you. I have no choice but to take it. Fortunately the only side effect I have had is that memory fog you get when taking amytriptaline. I have not noticed any weight loss effects but wondered if others had.

I am in the same position with three of the non Diabetes related drugs I take. Sometimes we have to compromise. It is wise, though, to try to get info from those who know first hand the side effects of medications as well as reading the literature.
