Anonymous Question Has metformin caused acid reflux?

I take metformin for my diabetes as well as other oral drugs. The metformin has given me stomach craps and I now have acid reflux which I assume is caused by the metformin. Has anyone else had this experience?

No I haven't. I had some tummy/toilet issues for the first week or so but nothing drastic. I've been fine on the ordinary metformin and still ok since it was changed to slow release.

Do you think it might be reacting with the other medication you are taking?

I take metformin and I do acid it's only started since I have took the metformin along side stomach and diareer !! So IDE say yes it's the metformin !! Xx
