Have a got it wrong??

Just seen Diabetes UK (for new people that is another site) advise a woman on Facebook that type 1.5 is MODY. I always thought MODY was different and type 1.5 was LADA. Help can someone clarify??? Sue xxx

I too share your confusion but I am a mere mortal, This is from the blurb but I am such someone with more experience than me will be able to clarify the terminology for both of us

Type 1.5 Diabetes

Type 1.5 diabetes is also known as type 3 diabetes

Type 1.5 diabetes is also know by a variety of other names.

These alternative names for type 1.5 diabetes include:

People diagnosed with type 1.5 diabetes are typicallydiagnosed during adulthood.
 
I messaged them and they have replied saying sorry they have got it wrong!!! I suggested they also messaged the lady they have given wrong advice too.

Err @admin1 are you sure type 1.5 and type 3 are the same? Think your article needs adjusting before you scare the hell out of everyone who is LADA!!!
