Hi Macspiffing and welcome to the forum. Well done on your achievements so far with your weight loss and blood sugar control! Reversed, in remission or cured are not how I consider my diabetes, but just very well controlled. I have to keep up the healthier life style I chose which in my case is low carb, to keep my non diabetic numbers, both finger pricks and HbA1cs. Your chosen way which appears to be low calorie, as I see it is a short term way of control but I think maybe not sustainable in the longer term. Also once you have lost all the weight you need to you’ll need a longer term strategy, this is where low carb maybe your answer too. Have a read of the info written for newly diagnosed here: https://www.diabetes.co.uk/forum/threads/basic-information-for-newly-diagnosed-diabetics.17088/ As you have been formally diagnosed Type 2 you should make sure you still receive all the checks that go with that despite having a non diabetic HbA1c now, that is, foot checks, eye screening etc...
