Hi there
Its been quite some time since i was last here so here goes

This type 2 diabetes is really getting on my nerves at the moment

I am doing everything to make sure that I control it and that it doesn't control me
But god sometimes it really drains the energy out of you and makes you feel so fed up amongst other things

It will be 3 years in may for me

Does it get any easier?

Welcome back,Beebee, why don't you tell us a bit about your circumstances to see if any of us can give you constructive help?

My circumstances are, since ive lost the weight i do feel uncomfortable with it. But i also understand that i need to lose some more, so a lot of confusion is setting in on what to do next.
Also trying to figure out what to eat is a bit of a nightmare. So i keep on getting it wrong which leads to low sugar (4.0) for me. It espcially bad first thing in the morning when i get up for work.
My doctor says my blood pressure is a bit high 142/85-90 this has happened recently so he has but me on amlodipine 5mg a day for a while, which he says is the lowest dose so im not to worry to much. Ive been swimming and walking extra arent these thing supposed to help

I am doing everything right ( i think) so why does it feel so bad, annoying, confusing?

Are you on any diabetic medication at all,or just diet? 4.0 in the morning is OK.but you maybe feel odd because you where used to it being high before.Be sure to eat a good breakfast to boost your sugar for work.I always have a half tumbler of Tropicana to kick start me in the morning along with my weetabix, depends what you like in the morning. What time in the evening do you eat? Some people find they need a snack such as cheese, nuts,a sandwich etc before bed to stop their sugars going low overnight.Have you had a look at the links in this part of the board 'links for diabetes' etc? You will find lots of good info about carb counting, 'the dawn effect' and various other useful tips. Keep asking questions, there's always someone who knows the answer!
